Elmer Wohlleber

June 14, 1926 — May 20, 1994

Elmer Wohlleber, of Montevideo, died on Friday May 20, 1994 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Minneapolis at the age of 67.  Funeral services will be on Tuesday May 24 at 1: 30 P.M. at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Montevideo with Rev. Warren Broughton and Rev. Lloyd Tobiassen officiating.  Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Montevideo.  Visitation will be Monday afternoon and evening and with the family from 7 - 8 P.M. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo.

Elmer L. Wohlleber was born on June 14, 1926 in South Dakota to John and Hattie Wohlleber.  He was baptized and confirmed at Mazeppa Lutheran Church and grew up in the South Shore, South Dakota area.  He attended rural schools.  On November 7, 1948 he was united in marriage to Doris Adolph at Mazeppa Lutheran Church.  They lived for a time in the Strandburg - Summit, South Dakota areas and in the Canby and Marshall, Minnesota areas before moving to Montevideo, Minnesota in 1956.  He farmed for a number of years and worked for the Milwaukee Railroad beginning in 1956 until he retired in 1977.  He was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church and the American Legion.

He is survived by his wife - Doris; by sons - Lyle (Sandie) of Des Moines, Ia.; and Keith (Nancy) of Farmington, MNn.; by a daughter - Audrey (Douglas) Bang of Maynard, Mn.; 8 grandchildren; by brothers - John and Ervin Wohlleber of South Shore, SD; and by a sister - Marion Pugh of Minneapolis.

He was preceded in death by his parents, by brothers - Alfred, Clarence, and Everett, and by sisters - Evelyn Holmes and Inez Wohlleber.
