Eloda Peterson, of Maynard, died on Tuesday, November 18, 2003 at the Granite Falls Hospital at the age of 93.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, November 21, 2003 at 11:00 AM at the Maynard Lutheran Church with Rev. Mary Hovland officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.
Eloda Cordelia (Norman) Peterson was born on July 26, 1910 in Peru, NY to William and Florence (Warner) Norman. She was baptized in Three Forks, MT and confirmed at Maynard Lutheran Church. She graduated from Montevideo High School in 1929. On January 1, 1930 she was united in marriage to Clarence W. Peterson at the United Methodist Church in Montevideo. She spent her married life in Maynard, where she was a homemaker and mother. She was a member of Maynard Lutheran Church and loved her church. She enjoyed visiting with friends and those in need.
She is survived by four grandchildren: Scott Peterson and his wife Jennifer; Kim Douglas and her husband Marvin; Anne Zimprich and her husband Scott; and Daniel Peterson; four great- grandchildren: Chelsey and Parker Peterson and Maleah Douglas and Noah Zimprich; one brother, Bob Norman and his wife Lorraine of Maple Lake, MN; one daughter-in-law, Betty Peterson of Golden Valley, MN; as well as by a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clarence in 1986; two sons: John and Dean Peterson; one daughter-in-law, Barb Peterson; two sisters: Louise Norman and Mary Haase; and three brothers: Ernest, Leon and John Norman.
