Elwood Paulson, of Montevideo, died on Friday, December 7, 2007 at his home in Parkview Towers at the age of 71. A family memorial service was held on Sunday, December 9th at Country Inn & Suites in Montevideo.  Interment services will be conducted in the Spring at Jevnaker Lutheran Cemetery near Montevideo, MN.

Graveside service on Saturday, May 31 at 10:00 A.M. at Jevnaker Lutheran Cemetery, rural Montevideo with Rev. Marie Eckberg officiating.  Arrangements are with Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo.

Elwood Warren Paulson was born on November 18, 1936 in Montevideo, MN to Elmer C. and Esther (Raffelson) Paulson. He was baptized and confirmed at Jevnaker Lutheran Church, attended rural schools, graduated from Montevideo High School and served in the US Army.  He was united in marriage to Dianne Anderson. He lived in a variety of locations including Beaver Dam WI. from 1989 - 2004 before moving back to Montevideo.  He worked for a number of years at the Ford Assembly Plant in St. Paul.  He loved small animals, reading books and doing crosswords.

He is survived by his wife Dianne of Superior, WI; 3 children: Julie Bohn and her husband Carter of Oshkosh, WI; Shawn Paulson and fiancé Marcy Kasper of Superior, WI; and Bethany Anderson and her husband Tom of Superior, WI; 4 grandchildren: Chelsea, Graydon and Gabriel Bohn and Vance Paulson; 3 sisters: Ina Mae Johnson of Montevideo; Venoie (and Lawrence, Jr.) Jacobs of Big Bend, MN and Nancy (and Byron) Undlin of Golden Valley, MN, as well as by several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a young daughter, Camille Paulson.
