Erika Kolstad passed away Friday, January 15, 2021 at her home in Fargo at the age of 44.

A Celebration of Life for Erika Lea at a later date. Arrangements are with Anderson-TeBeest Funeral Home in Montevideo

Erika Lea Kolstad was born October 25, 1976, in Steamboat Springs CO, to Arlen R Kolstad and Lynn Sullivan. She is a 1995 graduate from Longmont Senior High School, Longmont CO. She moved to Minnesota after high school to the Pelican Rapids/Perham area where she attended Fergus Falls Community College. She is a 2003 graduate from North Dakota State University, Fargo ND with a Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education.

Erika taught a couple years as a teachers assistant and excelled in classroom settings. She video recorded many hours of her classroom days and her pupils just adored her. However, her true passion was when she decided to be self-employed and shined at making crafts, including canvas collages, knick-knack home decor, sentimental keepsakes...along with many more that she eventually consigned. Although, this was very fulfilling reaching her creative goals, her true success began when she started Ebaying and honed in on her savvy shopping skills.

Erika is an unbelievably beautiful person. She was loveable, huggable, bright, intense, hilarious, discerning, passionate and irreplaceable. We all loved her just as fully as the full moon loves the night; she loved us all back with much reflective courage and illumination. There were no gray areas for Erika and we loved her for all of the lessons we experienced with her and knowing her. She wanted to be who she wanted to be and expected nothing less from anyone else, good or bad. We all have some kind of marriage with her in meaningful and challenging ways. Our family and friends will celebrate her and her unique perspectives of Life and in Life we celebrate with her, in her next journey and the one she left.

Erika is survived by her nuclear family, her father Arlen R. Kolstad, her mother Lynn Sullivan, and her sister Heather L. Kolstad.

We all love you very much Erika Lea, forever in our hearts and minds. Erika left so many behind it's too unbearable to try and name all. We are so thankful and grateful to be given such an honor, to know such a deep person. Sending our most heartfelt condolences to all she imprinted on and to those who imprinted on her. In lieu to the family we would like donations sent to Anderson-TeBeest funeral home and those will be donated to facilities for mentally challenged individuals or please donate to the charity of the same.
