Erna Betty (Christenson) Bergo

Erna Bergo, of Montevideo, died on Monday July 24, 1995 at the Luther Haven Nursing Home in Montevideo at the age of 72.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday July 28 at 1: 30 P.M. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Montevideo with Rev. Warren Broughton officiating.  Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday afternoon and evening  and with the family from 7 - 8 P.M.at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo.

Erna Betty (Christenson) Bergo was born on June 15, 1923 in Grace Township of Chippewa Co., MN to Elmer and E. Agnes Christenson.  She was baptized by Rev. John Mason and confirmed at Jevnaker Lutheran Church.  She attended rural schools and Montevido High School.  She was united in marriage to Robert Bergo on October 25, 1942 in Reno, NV.  She lived her entire lifetime in the Montevideo area and was a long-time member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church.  She was active in Our Savior's Lutheran Church women's groups, Rosewood Homemakers, VFW Auxiliary, and was a 4-H leader for many years.  She was currently a resident at Luther Haven Nursing Home.

She is survived by her husband - Robert; by daughters - Jean (Richard) Kutz  of Burnsville, MN; and Linda (John) Walstrom of Montevideo, MN; by a son - Lee of Montevideo, MN; by grandchildren - Kallen and Kyle Kutz; Adrian, Andrea , and Aaron Walstrom; by brothers - Alfred (Harriet) Christenson of Kerkhoven, MN; and Henry Christenson of Montevideo, MN;  by sisters - Ethel Johnson of Montevideo, MN; Laura (Frank) McDonald of Laguna Hilla,CA; Violet (Glen) Seiler of Clara City,MN; Doris (William) Regan of Van Nuys, CA; Ginger (Herbert) Keller of Northridge, CA; and Vivian (Jim) Schwagerl of Simi Valley, CA; as well as by numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and by an infant sister - Betty Lou Christenson.
