Ernest "Bud" Zuehlke

Ernest "Bud" Zuehlke, of Montevideo, died on Monday, June 7, 2010 at his home in Montevideo at the age of 81. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 14, 2010 at 1:00 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel in Montevideo with Pastor Rob Kemppainen officiating. Interment will be at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery in Albee, SD. Visitation will be held for one hour before the services on Monday. Ernest Edward "Bud" Zuehlke was born on December 30, 1928 in Grant Co., SD to Carl and Anna (Reetz) Zuehlke. He grew up in Grant County and attended Adams 4 School. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He farmed for many years before retiring in 1984 and moving to Montevideo, MN. He was a long-time member of St. Johns Lutheran Church in Revillo, SD, belonged to the American Legion Post in Revillo and the VFW and American Legion Posts in Montevideo. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, playing cards, bingo and pool and being at the Sr. Citizen's Center. He is survived by a brother, Melvin Zuehlke and his wife Deanna of Sioux Falls, SD; two sisters: Mabel Mogard of St. Cloud, MN and Lillian Ladwig of Montevideo; as well as by a number of nieces and nephews.
