Esteleen "Esther" Nadine (Wittmier) Ward

Esther Ward of Montevideo died Saturday, March 27, 2004 at the St. Cloud Hospital at the age of 66.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 31, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. at Anderson Funeral Home Chapel in Montevideo.

Visitation will be held Tuesday afternoon and evening and with the family present from 6-8:00 P.M. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo.

Esteleen Nadine (Wittmier) Ward was born March 12, 1938 at Conrad, MT the daughter of Chris and Lena (Stauss) Wittmier.  She attended school and grew to adulthood at Ethridge, MT.  Esther was united in marriage with Bruce Ward February 14, 1957 at Great Falls, MT.  They moved to Montevideo in 1970.  Esther had been a resident of Luther Haven Nursing Home since 2000.  She loved sewing and making dolls.  She also enjoyed playing cards and bingo.

She is survived by five children: Valerie (Ken) Blommel of Montevideo, MN, Laurie (Phil) Bluhm of Watertown, MN, Donna Ward of Great Falls, MT, Sandy (Dean) VanBinsbergen of Montevideo, MN and Chris Ward of Montevideo, MN; fourteen grandchildren: Jeff, Cassie, Megan, and Karie Blommel, Jamie, Daniel, and William Ward, Christie and Kayla Bluhm, Amber, Alisha, and Cole VanBinsbergen, and Wendy and Joey Ward; two great-grandchildren: Amiah Bluhm and Samantha Ward; two sisters: Alice Habbet of Great Falls, MT and Helen McLane of Myrtle Creek, OR; and one brother, Allen (Dolores) Wittmier of Conrad, MT, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents; one son, Dale Ward; and nine brothers and sisters.
