Eugene Myron Doring

Eugene Doring died on Wednesday, November 13, 2002 at the Chippewa Co - Montevideo Hospital at the age of 71.  Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, November 16, 2002 at 1:30 PM at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Montevideo with Rev. Donald S. McKee and Rev. Lois D. Knutson officiating.  Burial was in the Sunset Memorial Cemetery..

Eugene Myron Doring was born on July 16, 1931 in Montevideo, MN to Edward and Evelyn (Bergquist) Doring.  He was baptized and confirmed at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Montevideo and attended Montevideo Public Schools.  On Feb. 16, 1960 he was united in marriage to Vivian Black in Watertown, SD.  He was a lifelong resident of Montevideo and owned and operated Gene’s Garage until his retirement.  His interests included woodwork, his pet dog, and drawing & fishing when he was younger.

He is survived by a sister, Barbara Wick and her husband Clifford of Montevideo, MN; nieces - Nancy Wick and Brenda Gremmels of Montevideo and Karen Johnson of Litchfield, MN; a nephew, Kenneth Wick of Staples, MN and a number of uncles, aunts and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Vivian in 1980 and a niece, Cindy Wick.
