Eunice Jacobs, formerly of Big Bend, died on Saturday July 15, 1995 at the Chippewa Co-Montevideo Hospital at the age of 88. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday July 19, 1995 at 1:30 P.M.,at Big Bend Lutheran Church with Rev. Kathryn Rothman officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday afternoon and evening with a prayer service at 7:30 P.M. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo. Strand Funeral Service of Milan is in charge of arrangements.
Eunice Laura (Golden) Jacobs was born on April 22, 1907 in West Bank Township of Swift Co., Minnesota to John and Lisa Golden. She was baptized and confirmed at the Big Bend Lutheran Church. She was united in marriage to Lawrence Jacobs on October 23, 1926. She lived most of her lifetime in the Big Bend area, and was currently a resident of the Luther Haven Nursing Home in Montevdeo. She was a lifelong member of Big Bend Lutheran Church.
She is survived dy daughters - Leona Payne and her husband Clinton of Big Bend, MN; Dorothy Nissen and her husband Alvin of Benson,Mn.; and La Bonna Payne and her husband Russell of Benson,Mn. by a son - Lawrence,Jr. and his wife Venoie of Big Bend, MN; 13 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; 2 great, great grandchildren; and by a sister - Eva Johnson of Clara City,Mn.
She was preceded in death by her parents, by her husband Lawrence in 1980; by a granddaughter- Nancy Payne; by a sister - Hattie Norby; and by brothers - Stanley and Ruben Golden.
