Eunice Septon

Eunice Septon of Montevideo died Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at Luther Haven Nursing Home in Montevideo at the age of 98. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, January 27, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at Jevnaker Lutheran Church. Rev. Marie Eckberg will officiate and interment will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held for one hour before the services at church on Friday. Eunice Theodora Septon was born February 1, 1913 in Mandt Township of Chippewa County, MN the daughter of Severt and Ragna (Nokleby) Septon. She was baptized and confirmed at Jevnaker Lutheran Church and attended rural schools. She worked at Swift and Company as an egg candler, raised turkeys for Old Mill Produce and also worked at the Mohawk Cafe. She moved into her home on Benson Road in 1945. Eunice was a very hard worker and she loved to garden. She has been a resident Luther Haven for the past several years. She is survived by one son, Norman (Aurora) Septon of Bullhead City, AZ; five granddaughters: Stephanie Mallard of South Carolina, Eunice (Greg) Magill of San Diego, CA, Kay (Brian Meadows) Septon of Montevideo, MN, Linda (Dan) DeSousa of San Diego, CA, and Diana Jan (Craig) Ward of Tempe, AZ; great-grandchildren: Nathan, Desiree, Amanda, Andrew, Clinton, Valerie, Kimberley, Alex, Stacey, Wesley, Dalton; great-great-grandchild, Xander; a brother: Everette Septon of Anoka, MN; a sister, Helen Denton of Owatonna, MN; and her guardian conservator Jean (Doug) Olson. Preceding her in death were her parents; a sister, Lala Nelson; and a brother, Tony Septon.
