Evelyn Adams, of Montevideo, died on Wednesday June 1, 1994 at the Chippewa Co.-Montevideo Hospital at the age of 82. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday June 4 at 10:30 A.M. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Montevideo with Rev. Alvin G. Lewis, Jr. and Fr. Jerry Paulson officiating. Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday afternoon and evening and with the family from 7 - 8 P.M. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo.
Evelyn Amanda (Solberg) Adams was born on March 10, 1912 in Yellow Medicine Co., Minnesota to Knute and Olga Solberg. She grew up in rural Montevideo and graduated from Montevideo High School in 1930. On April 23, 1939 she was united in marriage to Paul Adams at the St. Josephs Parsonage in Montevideo. She worked at the 5 & 10, Donahues, Tempo, and for many years at the Gambles Store in Montevideo before retiring. They lived in rural Montevideo for many years before moving to Montevideo several years ago. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and active in it's women's groups, was a member of Sons of Norway, Rebeccas, Homemakers, and the American Legion Auxillary.
She is survived by her husband - Paul; by a son - Robert of Park Falls, Wi.; by a daughter - Mary J. Davis of Meridian, Id.; by grandchildren - Paula Kaltenbach of East Helena, Mt.; Christopher Adams of Owatanna, Mn.; and Amy Brock of Bellingham, Wa.; and by a great grandson - Joshua Kaltenbach.
She was preceded in death by her parents, by a brother - Walter Solberg, and by a sister - Lillie Kortegaard.
