Evelyn was employed a number of years at the Red and White Store and in 1956, went to work at the Central Telephone Company. She retired in 1984, after 28 years of service. Evelyn entered the Johnson Memorial Home and remained there until her death on Monday, February 28, 2000, at the age of 85 years, 1 month, and 19 days.
