Evelyn Gulden, 88, of Montevideo died January 21, 1997 at Luther Haven Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 24, 1997 at 1:30 P.M. at Jevnaker Lutheran Church, rural Montevideo. Rev. Gregory Gabriel will officiate and interment will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held Thursday afternoon and evening at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo and at the church for one hour before services on Friday.
Evelyn Thora Skogrand was born March 12, 1908 in Mandt Township, Chippewa County, MN the daughter of Anton and Helena (Svingen) Skogrand. She was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church and she grew to adulthood in Rosewood Township. Evelyn was united in marriage with Gust Gulden October 6, 1936 at the Big Bend Parsonage. They made their home in Mandt Township. Gust died in 1946. She was a member of Jevnaker Lutheran Church, WELCA, and a homemakers club. Evelyn enjoyed farm work and reading.
She is survived by her son, Arnold of Montevideo and one sister, Hazel Phillips and her husband Clyde.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Gust; and eight brothers and sisters: twins Arthur and Juliette, Amy, Julian, twins Milton and Melvin, a stillborn sister, and Marvin.
