Evelyn Gloria Moseng was born November 19, 1928 in Montevideo to Gilbert and Christine (Morseth) Moseng.  She was united in marriage to Orval Allen, together they had two children.  Orval passed away in 1950.  Evelyn was united in marriage to James “Clem” Martinson on August 29, 1953 in Milbank, SD.  Together they had two children.  She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Dawson, and of First Lutheran Church in Alexandria.  Evelyn was also a member of the Legion Auxiliary in Alexandria.

Evelyn spent most of her adult life on the east side of St. Paul where her and Clem raised their kids. She was one of the first teaching assistants in the St. Paul Schools at Lincoln Elementary, she eventually retired from East Consolidated. She enjoyed spending her summers on Maple Lake where her and Clem moved when they retired. Once retired she loved spending the winters in Lake Havasu, Arizona with her husband.  Ev and her sister Jean were inseparable. They would play Kings in the Corner everyday and loved nothing more than going up to Forada for happy hour and to share a meal. The locals fondly referred to them as “The Girls”.  Ev loved spending time with her family and was always up for a game of Skip-Bo and dinner at Yarusso Bros.

Evelyn is survived by her sons: Mike (Irene) Martinson of Mahtomedi and Kevin (Jeni) Martinson of Oakdale; grandchildren: Lea (Dan) Kammerer, Brian (Amy) Martinson, Nathan (Jesi) Martinson and Jennifer (significant other Troy O'Leary) Martinson; and great-grandchildren: Logan, Mallory, and Colin Kammerer, Liliana, Gabriella and Kade Martinson, Hunter, Matthew, Paisley and Isabella Martinson, Wyatt Lonien and Trace  Martinson.
