Everette Septon

February 20, 1916 — June 8, 2013

Everette Septon of Anoka, MN died on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at the Camilia Rose Care Center in Coon Rapids at the age of 97.  Services will be conducted on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at Meadow Creek Church, 3037 Bunker Lake Boulevard Northwest, in Andover, Minnesota with Pastor Tim Anderson, Pastor Don Alexander and Pastor Jim Thomason officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.  Interment will be on Thursday, June 13, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. in Jevnaker Lutheran Cemetery in rural Montevideo.

Everette Sirroy Septon was born on February 20, 1916 in Montevideo, MN to Syvert and Ragna (Nokleby) Septon. He grew up in Mandt Township and attended rural schools. Following the death of his father he took over the operation of the home farm.  His farming career was interrupted in 1933 when he served in company 721 of the Civilian Conservation Corps Camp in Findland, MN. At the completion of his CCC service, he returned to the farm to continue farming and took an interest in auctioneering. On October 10, 1943, he was united in marriage to Alpha Bjorgan at Jevnaker Lutheran Church. After his marriage they relocated to Appleton, Minnesota, where Everette did carpentry work with his father-in-law until 1970 when they moved to Anoka, MN. He was currently a resident at the Camilia Rose Care Center in Coon Rapids, MN.  He had been a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Appleton and was currently a member  of Meadow Creek Church in Andover.

He is survived by two daughters, Diane (and Dan) Richey of Ramsey, MN and Anna( and Tom) Barnard of Burnsville, MN; two sons, Luther Septon of Willmar, MN and Edward (and Pam) Septon of Big Lake, MN; nine grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; a great, great grandchild; a sister, Helen Denton of Owatonna, MN and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Alpha in 2007,a son Michael Septon; two sisters, Luella Nelson and Eunice Septon and a brother, Thornell (Tony) Septon.
