Faye Tanhoff, of Montevideo, died on Friday, April 20, 2018 at Luther Haven Nursing Home in Montevideo at the age of 100.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 PM, Thursday, April 26, 2018 at the United Methodist Church in Montevideo with Rev. Sam Kautz officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be held on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 from 5-7 PM at Anderson-TeBeest Funeral Home in Montevideo.
Faye Naomi (Ward) Tanhoff was born November 30, 1917 at Payton, IA the daughter of Lester “L.C.” and Gayle (Ridenour) Ward. She graduated from Bingham Lake High School and was later united in marriage with Cleon “Bob” Tanhoff on March 31, 1941. They made their home in the Montevideo area. Bob died in 1961. Faye worked as a lab tech at the hospital for many years. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, and traveling. She especially loved spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by two sons: Larry (Kristy) Tanhoff and Loren Tanhoff both of Montevideo; six grandchildren: Mark (DeeDee Johnson) Tanhoff, Tracy Tanhoff, Sarah Tanhoff, Laura (Bob) Sayre, Bill Tanhoff, and Mike (Kayla Leier) Tanhoff; eight great-grandchildren: Travis, Sean, Kayla, Daniel, David, Allison, Olivia, and Adalynn; a brother, Ray Ward of VanBuren, AR; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Cleon “Bob”; a daughter-in-law, Patricia Tanhoff; three brothers: Warren, Dale, and Keith; and two sisters: Helen Manee and Doris Miller.
