Fern Larson, of Montevideo, died on Monday, March 2, 2009 at the Luther Haven Nursing Home at the age of 88. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, March 5, 2009 at 1:30 P.M. at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Montevideo with Rev. Marie Eckberg officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Fern Verine (Angrimson) Larson was born on September 14, 1920 in Big bend Township of Chippewa Co., MN to Knute and Tilla (Kittelson) Angrimson. She was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church and attended school in District 11.On October 14, 1940 she was united in marriage to Lloyd in Montevideo. She worked for many years as a cook in various local restaurants. She was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church and it's altar guild, VFW Auxiliary and a homemakers club. She loved to raise flowers and vegetables, cook and bake, feeding the birds, spending time by the lake and spending time with her family. She was currently a resident at Luther haven Nursing Home. She is survived by; five children: Loraye Backer and her husband Jim of Hancock, MN; Jerry Larson and his wife Donna of Granite Falls, MN; Betty Ulferts and her husband Ron of Raymond, MN; Debra Lauritsen and her husband Bob of Montevideo and Cynthia Kleven of Montevideo; 12 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; a great, great grandson; a sister, Nancy Sittom of Washington; a brother, Donald Angrimson of Atwater, MN as well as by a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Lloyd in 2002; four brothers: Arthur, Clayton, Curtis and Dennis Angrimson and two sisters: Hiulda Klepel and Beatrice Ann Angrimson.
