Fern Weckwerth, 68, of Montevideo died November 3, 1994 at the Madison Lutheran Home in Madison.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 5, 1994 at 2:00 P.M. at St. Johns Lutheran Church, rural Montevideo. Rev. Richard Hamlow will officiate and interment will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held Friday afternoon and evening at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo with a prayer service at 7:30 P.M. There will also be visitation at the church for one hour before services on Saturday.
Fern T. Falla was born October 1, 1926 at Milan, MN the daughter of Arthur and Julia (Rear) Falla. She was confirmed at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Montevideo and graduated from Montevideo High School. Fern was united in marriage with Victor Weckwerth May 28, 1949 at Montevideo. They made their home in Sparta Township, Chippewa County, MN. She was a bookkeeper and worked at S & L, the Chamber of Commerce, and Moldes Electric. Fern retired in 1986. She was a member of St Johns Lutheran Church and sang in the choir.
She is survived by her husband, Victor of Montevideo; two daughters: Carol McPhail and her husband Gary of Carlos, MN and Dianna Klassen and her husband Bradley of Champlin, MN; six grandchildren: Stephanie Velde, Jennifer McPhail, Jeffrey McPhail, Sarah Klassen, Suzzanne Klassen, and Joshua Klassen; one sister, Darlene Ryman and her husband Bennie of Montevideo; and one brother, Bruce Falla of Montevideo.
Preceding her in death were her parents.
