Florence Augeson, 77, died Thursday, November 1, 2001 at the Chippewa County - Montevideo Hospital.
Funeral services were held Monday, November 5, 2001 at 1:30 P.M. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Montevideo. Rev. Lois D. Knutson officiated and burial was at Sunset Memorial Cemetery.
Florence Oline (Eide) Augeson was born January 20, 1924 in Lac Qui Parle County, MN, the daughter of Sivert and Greta (Baerwaldt) Eide. She was baptized and confirmed at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church of Baxter Township. She was united in marriage with Roger Augeson January 9, 1945 in Montevideo. They farmed in Chippewa County for many years before moving into Watson in 1976. She was a member of a homemakers club and worked at the Watson Cafe.
She is survived by seven daughters: Marcia (Charles) Anderson of Montevideo, MN, Barbara Augeson of Watson, MN, Gail (Wallace) Mettling of Montevideo, MN, Sharon (Randy) Christiansen of Parkers Prairie, MN, Janet (Neal) Luschen of Austin, MN, Brenda (Scott) Ellgren of Willmar, MN, and Julie (Wayne) Sulflow of Comfrey, MN; fourteen grandchildren: Jennifer, C.J. and Matthew Anderson, Ryan, Greg, and Anne Mettling, Corey (Carie) Christiansen, Brett Christiansen, Kimberly, Alison, and Megan Luschen, Jacob Ellgren, and Zachary and Jamie Sulflow; one great-granddaughter, Kya Christiansen; and two sisters: Helen Nagel of Montevideo, MN and Margaret Olson of Onowa, IA.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Roger; and one brother, Sivert Eide.
