Florence G. (Paris) Cook

January 10, 1895 — January 28, 1994

Florence G. Paris (Cook) was born on January 10, 1895 in Bismark,N.D. to Franklin and Elida (Couch) Paris.  She attended school and later business college in Bismark.  She was united in marriage to Paul A Cook in Bismark on August 18, 1920.  They later moved to Fargo,N.D. and Moorhead, MN.  Mr. Cook was City Clerk of Moorhead from 1945 - 1966.  She moved to Montevideo,Mn. in 1986, and was currently a resident at the Luther Haven Nursing Home in Montevideo.  She was a member of the First United Methodist Churches of Fargo and Montevideo.

Florence died on January 28, 1994 at the Luther Haven Nursing Home in Montevideo at the age of 99.  She is survived by a son - Robert Cook of Montevideo; by a daughter - Patricia (Robert) Tenneson of Littleton, Co.;4 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; by a brother - Robert Paris of Mandan, N.D.; and by sisters - Aldeen Taylor of Bismark,N.D. and Jeanne (John) Sowinski of Homewood, Illinois.

She was preceded in death by her parents, by her husband Paul in 1974; by a brother - Floyd Paris; and by sisters - Anna Paris; Myrtle Hanson; and Hazel Reid.


Services will be conducted on Thursday February 3,1994 at 1:30 P.M. at First United Methodist Church in Fargo, N.D. with Rev. Richard Teichmann officiating.  Burial will be at the Riverside Cemetery in Moorhead,Mn.  Visitation will be Tuesday afternoon and evening and with the family from 7 - 8 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo, Mn. and at the church one hour prior to services on Thursday.
