Frances Mary (Garrow) Moseng

Frances Moseng, 75, of Montevideo died May 21, 1998 at Luther Haven Nursing Home in Montevideo.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 26, 1998 at 1:30 P.M. at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church of Baxter.  Rev. Steve Rheingans will officiate and interment will be at Terrace Lawn Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be held Monday from 3-8:00 P.M. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo and at the church for one hour before services on Tuesday.

Frances Mary Moseng (Garrow) was born June 28, 1922 in North Hero Township, Redwood County, MN the daughter of Wilfred and Della (Lee) Garrow.  She grew up on farms in the Marshall and Lake Benton area.  Frances was united in marriage with Clarence “Kelly” Moseng May 22, 1976 at Dawson, MN.  She ran a café in Marshall and Boyd for a few years and also did construction work.  Frances enjoyed fishing, crocheting, and baking.

She is survived by her husband, Kelly; one son, Lawrance “Butch” Garman and his wife Marcy of Montevideo, MN; three grandchildren: Ron and Cyndi Dirckx, Michael and Jan Dirckx, and Mary and Tom Moen; five great-grandchildren: Samantha, Randi, and Ron, Jr. Dirckx and Kayla and Cameron Moen; ten sisters: Edith Paul of Tracy, MN, Maryann Petersen of Green Valley, MN, Alma and Herb Letzring of LaVista, NB, Grace Briton of Syracuse, NY, Ruth and Boots Freitag of Fairfax, MN, Blanche and Lawrence Filter of Marshall, MN, Gladys and Don Mead of Sioux Falls, SD, Victoria Pinley of New Brockton, AL, Cecilia and Frank Sanow of Marshall, MN, and Charolette and Don Kindt of Sioux Falls, SD; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents; two husbands: Gus Garman and Adolph Engelke; one brother, Joe Garrow; and three sisters: Alice, Edna, and Baby Ruby.
