Frances “Bobby” Elrod died August 19, 1998 at her niece, Pat Geib’s home in Plymouth, MN at the age of 77.
Funeral services were held Saturday, August 22, 1998 at 11:00 A.M. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo. Rev. Jean Boese officiated and interment was at Sunset Memorial Cemetery.
Frances Beverly Elrod was born June 3, 1921 in Montevideo, MN the daughter of Harrison and Clara (Hackett) Elrod. She graduated from Montevideo High School. Bobby served in the WAC from August 5, 1943 until January 14, 1946 and in the US Air Force from June 12, 1947 until January 14, 1948. After her discharge, she returned to Montevideo. She was the bar manager of the American Legion in the late 70's and the 80's. Bobby also served as the Commander of the American Legion Post in Montevideo.
She is survived by her niece Pat Geib and husband John of Plymouth, MN and two nephews and one niece living in Colorado.
Preceding her in death were her parents and two sisters: Wanda Sorley and Thelma Triggs.
