Frank E. Oleson, of Montevideo, died on, Sunday, March 24, 2013 under hospice care at his home in Montevideo at the age of 71. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at the Anderson - TeBeest Funeral Home in Montevideo, MN with Rev. Matt Philaya officiating.
Frank Eugene Oleson was born on October 17, 1941 in Clear Lake, S.D. to Henry and Adelaide (Marsh) Oleson. He attended school through tenth grade in Sioux Falls, S.D. He joined the Army in November of 1959. He worked as a glazer. On February 10, of 2005, he was united in marriage to Marlene Jaenisch at Yankton, S.D. He enjoyed reading, fishing, hunting and animals of all kinds.
He also enjoyed tinkering and taking things apart and putting them back together again.
Frank is survived by his wife, Marlene; five children: Julie (and Walt) Roelfsema of Hudson, SD, Joy (and Eric) Oleson of Worthing, SD, Jody Oleson of Crooks, SD, Judy (Craig) Oleson of Worthing, SD, and Lisa (and Steve) Grengs of Maple Grove, MN; a brother, Kenneth Oleson of Sioux Falls, SD; 15 grandchildren: Dena, Harley, Rose, Lea, Dallas, Austin, Melisa, Oren, Nathan, Nick, Andrew, Shawn, Amanda, Anthony, and Jennifer; and 10 great-grandchildren: Lucas, Thomas, Naomi, Bridgette, Madison, Journey, Damien, Sophia, Jadyn, Braden.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Leona Oleson.
