Franklin Bergeson died Friday, September 30, 2016 at the Johnson Memorial Home in Dawson at the age of 83.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at 10:30 AM at Lac qui Parl Lutheran Church. Rev. Bruce Bringle will officiate and interment will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 5-7:00 PM at the Hanson & Dahl Funeral Home in Dawson with a prayer service at 7:00 PM. Visitation will also be held at the church for one hour before the service.
Franklin Eugene Bergeson was born February 2, 1933 at Dawson, MN the son of Brainerd and Minnie (Gilbertson) Bergeson. He attended country school and spent his life on the farm. He was united in marriage with Jean Gamble November 29, 1952 in Dawson. They made their home on a farm in Cerro Gordo Township. He also enjoyed fishing and camping. Jean died August 6, 1997. Frank moved to the Johnson Memorial Home in 2004.
He is survived by his children: Marcia (Robert) Jones of Montevideo, Kevin (Therese) Bergeson of Dawson, Rick (Becky) Bergeson of Montevideo, and Janelle (Dahlen) Pauling of Montevideo; ten grandchildren: Jamie (Heather), Corey (Kristy) Jayann (Brett), Ryan (Malea), Stephanie, Mandy (Nick), Brittany, Matthew (Joe), Luke (Erin), Jody (Amy); eighteen great-grandchildren: Griffin, Preston, Breck, Brady, Blake, Callie, Cristian, Ingrid, Elsa, Alexis, Samantha, Vanessa, Evelyn, Brock, Sydney, Addyson, Kason, and Kelvin; a brother, Stanley (Betty) Bergeson of Madison; sisters-in-law: Elnore Bergeson and Karen Bergeson of Dawson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Jean; a son, Jody in 1981; a daughter-in-law, Marilyn Bergeson; and three brothers: Norval, Burdell, and Myles Bergeson.
