Gerald Frank Fultz

Gerald Fultz died February 17, 1998, after a courageous fight with cancer, at his home in Montevideo at the age of 72.

Funeral services were held Friday, February 20, 1998, at 1:30 P.M. at Salem Lutheran Church.  Rev. Wayne D. Kopitzke  officiated and interment was at Terrace Lawn Memory Gardens.

Gerald Frank Fultz was born December 26, 1925 in Walhalla, ND the son of Frank and Jessie (Fraser) Fultz.  Prior to moving to Montevideo in 1946, he served in the Army during WW II.  Gerald was united in marriage with Darlene Eggebraaten November 23, 1947 in Montevideo, MN.  He worked in Montevideo doing construction work until moving to Minneapolis in 1960.  There he worked as a brick layer and foreman for Donald Franz Construction until retiring in 1986 when they returned to Montevideo.  Gerald was a member of the American Legion and he enjoyed to travel and do woodworking.

He is survived by his wife, Darlene; eight children: Larry Fultz of Montevideo, MN, Pamela Dobbelmann of Montevideo, MN, Rodney Fultz of Montevideo, MN, Vickie Sirocchi of Minneapolis, MN, Todd Fultz and his wife LeAnn of Montevideo, MN, Kelly Norrgard and her husband Kurt of Coon Rapids, MN, Lorna Lind and her husband Roger of Rush City, MN, and Sue Jensen and her husband Kim of Montevideo, MN; 23 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three brothers: Francis and Vonn Fultz of Durham, CA, Gary and Helen Fultz of Corning, CA, and Mac and Lynette Fultz of Montevideo, MN; and three sisters: Geraldine Alvis of Loganville GA, Shirley and Orville Saue of Clarkfield, MN, and Josephine and Jim Spilde of Battle Lake, MN.

Preceding him in death were his parents; one son, David Fultz; two sisters: Willistine Bunch and Fern Hell; and one brother-in-law, Wilbur Hell.
