Glen Hilden

Glen Hilden of rural Milan died Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at CCM Health in Montevideo at the age of 85.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Kviteseid Lutheran Church in Milan with Pastor Kristine Isder officiating.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 9 at the Anderson - TeBeest Funeral Home in Montevideo from 5-7:00 PM and at the church for one hour before the service on Thursday.

Glen Leroy Hilden was born March 11, 1936 in Milan, MN the son of Gerhard and Laura (Struxness).  He graduated from Milan High School in 1954.  Glen was united in marriage with Barbara Spray May 4, 1957 at Big Bend Lutheran Church.  They made their home on a farm east of Milan.   He loved being a carpenter and also a dairy farmer.  Many people have benefitted from his handiwork.  He enjoyed tinkering with wood and also wood carving.  Glen loved his family dearly and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by two children: Karen Freeman and special friend Trampass Larson of Ethan, SD and Terry Hilden and special friend Naomi McVay of Milan, MN; four grandsons: Jonathon, Matthew, and Michael Freeman and Ethan Hilden; a brother, Merle (Yvonne) Hilden of Milan; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Barbara on December 9, 2006; a son, Gary; son-in-law, Orin Freeman; and a sister, Lorraine Hubbs.
