Glen L. Anderson, of Montevideo, died on Friday August 11, 1995 at the Madison Lutheran Home at the age of 83.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday August 15 at 2:00 P.M. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Montevideo with Rev. Alvin G. Lewis,Jr. and Rev. Paulus Pilgrim officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.
Glen LeRoy Anderson was born on November 17, 1911 in Sanborn, Iowa to Percy and Beatrice (Parks) Anderson. He grew up near Ruthven, Iowa and attended schools there. He moved to Minnesota with his family in 1929. On April 6, 1936 he was united in marriage to Luella Schuerer at Our Savior's Lutheran Parsonage in Montevideo. He worked on a section crew for the Milwaukee Railroad for 9 years, drove truck for construction companies for a number of years, and drove school bus for Simon Olson in Montevideo for several years before retiring in 1972. He was currently a resident of the Madison Lutheran Home.
He is survived by his wife - Luella; by daughters - Glynice Saue of Montevideo and Betty Henriksen of Montevideo; by sons - Robert Anderson of Montevideo and Wayne Anderson of Morris, MN; 15 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, by a grandson - Bradley Saue; by a great granddaughter - Leah Sather; and by a sister - Leone Latham.
