Glynice Saue, of Montevideo, died on Friday, September 16, 2016 at Luther Haven Nursing Home in Montevideo at the age of 80.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at 1:30 PM at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Montevideo with Rev. Marie Eckberg officiating Visitation will be held on Monday, September 19, 2016 from 5-7 PM at Anderson-TeBeest Funeral Home and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Sunset Cemetery in Montevideo.
Glynice Joan (Anderson) Saue was born on September 14, 1936 in Montevideo to Glen and Luella (Schuerer) Anderson. She was baptized and confirmed at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Montevideo. She attended school at Hillcrest Elementary and then Montevideo High School. Following high school she attended the University of Minnesota Morris. On November 21, 1954 she was united in marriage to Percy Saue and they had 5 children together. Glynice was a stay at home mom for most of the time however, later she was a waitress at the M&M, Lens and Debs. She also was a teacher’s aid for the Headstart program and worked at the Fiesta Motel.
Glynice was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church all her life. She was also a member of the Legion Auxiliary and Sons of Norway. While raising her family she enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking and canning. She also enjoyed cards, bowling, and bingo. Family recalls she was a very good bowler and enjoyed going to the state bowling competitions. The love of her life was her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had a picture wall at her home where every time she would get a new picture of family it would go up on the wall. She looked forward to spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Glynice is survived by her children: Dave (Linda) Saue of Montevideo, Mike Saue of Boyd, Pam Hanson of Montevideo, and Brenda (Gary Rodeberg) Sandven of Watson; grandchildren: Eric (Nicole), Ross (Linsey), Jason (Val), Rebecca, Carl (Kelly), Kyle (Abbey), Leslie, Amanda (Lenny), Cody (Tabby), Danielle (Shawn), Todd, Shawn, Harley (Diahna), Courtney (Vince), Whitney, Skylar, Brian, Devin (Jim), Garret, and Leah (Jordan); 42 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great gandchild; a brother, Robert L. Anderson of Montevideo; a sister, Betty Henriksen of Montevideo; sisters -in law: Llea Anderson, Morris, Lavilla Saue, Dawson, and Cora Gilbertson, Raymond as well as many other extended family.
Glynice is preceded in death by her parents; a son Bradley Saue; brother,Wayne; granddaughter, Lea Sather and son-in-law, Larry Hanson.
