Gregory R. Johnson was born in Dawson on August 16, 1949, to A. Roger and LaDonna (Habben) Johnson. He was baptized at the Riverside Lutheran Church in 1950, and confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church in 1964. He graduated from Dawson High School in 1967, and attended 2 years at Normandale Community College. He lived in Minneapolis for several years, worked as a bee keeper in Louisiana, and for the last 20 years lived in Dawson. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Greg passed away at his home in Dawson on May 30, 2000, at the age of 50.
He is survived by his mother, LaDonna Johnson of Dawson; brothers: Robert of Nome, AK, Charles (Cindy) of Menasha, WI, and Ron (Amy) of Apple Valley; sister, Anita (Ron) Skotterud of Mounds View, MN; 10 nieces and nephews: Michael and Toni, Todd and Lori, Eric, Jason, and Steven, and Zackory, Riley, and Sophia; aunts and uncles, other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Frank and Ida Johnson and Herman and Viola Habben; and father, Roger, in 1995.
