Gregory Streed, of Milan, died Saturday, October 21, 2006 at the Appleton Municipal Hospital in Appleton, MN at the age of 48.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 26, 2006 at 11:00 AM at Kviteseid Lutheran Church in Milan. Rev. Tom Opoien will officiate and interment will be at Kviteseid Lutheran - Milan Methodist Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Wednesday afternoon and evening at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo with the family present from 5-7:00 PM and a prayer service at 6:30 PM.
Gregory Don Streed was born December 23, 1957 at Montevideo, MN the son of Ernest and Arlene (Olson) Streed. He was baptized January 12, 1958 and confirmed June 10, 1973 at Kviteseid Lutheran Church. Greg graduated from Milan High School in 1976. He worked for Duininck Bros. for several years and Bituminous Paving for over 20 years. He was united in marriage with Susan Larson November 29, 1997 at Kviteseid Lutheran Church. Greg was a lifelong resident of the Milan area. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, working on the computer, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Sue; two step-sons: Brian (Shannan) Hislop of Salt Lake City, UT and Aaron (Johanna) Hislop of Rochester, MN; four grandchildren: Makel, Hayden, Bode, and Xander Hislop; his parents: Ernest and Arlene Streed of Milan, MN; six brothers: Mike Streed of Milan, MN, Dale (Janet) Streed of Columbia Heights, MN, Darrell (Naomi) Streed of Milan, MN, Kevin (Lori) Streed of Burnsville, MN, Doug (Ann) Streed of Morris, MN, and Tim Streed of Willmar, MN; one sister, Emily Rodeberg of Montevideo, MN; his father and mother-in-law: Lyle and Vera Larson of Milan, MN and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his grandparents; one sister-in-law, Mary Jane Streed; and one brother-in-law, Lee Rodeberg.
