Harlow Dilley

January 7, 1916 — August 10, 1995

Harlow Dilley, of Montevideo, died on Thursday August 10, 1995 at the Veterans Hospital in Minneapolis at the age of 79.  Funeral services will be conducted on Monday August 14 at 1:30 P.M. at the United Methodist Church in Montevideo with Rev. Robert Ford officiating.  Interment will be in the Terrace Lawn Memory Gardens.  Visitation will be Sunday afternoon and evening at the Anderson Funeral Home.

Harlow Dilley was born on January 7, 1916 in New London, Mn. to Samuel and Emma Augusta (Ziegenbien) Dilley.  He attended schools in New London.  He served in the US Army during WW II.  On August 19, 1939 he was united in marriage to Hazel Brink at the Presbyterian Parsonage in Willmar.  They lived in theWillmar area for several years before moving to Montevideo in 1953 when he bought the Monte Ready Mix.  He operated the business for 16 years before selling it. He worked as a tire salesperson for Anderson Super Service and later Brandon Tire in Montevideo before retiring in 1977.  He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Montevideo, the American Legion, and was a Mason.

He is survived by his wife - Hazel; by daughters - Linda Lanes and her husband Ronald  of Naples, FL;  and Diane Nielsen of Bloomington,MN; by a son - Michael Dilley and his wife Merrill of Naples, FL; 3 grandsons; 2 granddaughters; 6 great grandchildren; and by a brother - Andrew Dilley of Boy River, MN.

He was preceded in death by his parents; by a granddaughter - Marci Nielsen; by brothers - Ray and Allen Dilley; and by a sister - Viola Hanson.
