Harold Hendrickson, 94 of Dawson and formerly of Montevideo died February 3, 1997 at the Johnson Memorial Home in Dawson.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 7, 1997, at 1:00 P.M. at Watson Lutheran Church in Watson, MN. Rev. Robert Rendahl will officiate and interment will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held Thursday afternoon and evening at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo and at the church for one hour before services on Friday. There will be a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
Harold Arthur Hendrickson was born November 29, 1902 in Chippewa County, MN the son of Edward and Lena (Malm) Hendrickson. He attended rural school in District #5. Harold was united in marriage with Alma Stensrud June 7, 1928, at Milan, MN. He was a farmer until his retirement. They moved into Montevideo in 1982 and later to Dawson. Harold entered the Johnson Memorial Home in April of 1995. He was a member of the Watson Lutheran Church where he had served on numerous boards. He also served on the school board of District #72.
He is survived by four children: Donna Springan and her husband Rolf of Stanley, ND, Lila Nevins of Dawson, MN, Lyle Hendrickson and his wife Barbara of Rapid City, SD, and Phyllis Stevens and her husband Frank of Thousand Oaks, CA; 13 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife Alma, July 9, 1986; five sisters: Alma Peterson, Gena Ehmke, Elida Iverson, Julia Anderson, and Annie Hendrickson; one brother, Ole Hendrickson; and one son-in-law, Duane Nevins.
