Harold Seeman, of Montevideo, died on Friday, July 2, 1999 at the St. Cloud Hospital at the age of 79.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, July 6, 1999 at 1:30 PM at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Montevideo with Rev. Richard Hamlow officiating. Interment will be in the Terrace Lawn memory Gardens.
Visitation will be Monday afternoon and evening, with the family from 6:30 - 8 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo.
Harold Albert Julius Seeman was born on December 27, 1919 in Havelock Township of Chippewa Co., MN to Carl and Mathilda (Lettau) Seeman. He was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church of Havelock Township and attended rural schools at District #22. On November 1, 1945 he was united in marriage to Fannie Dirksen at the Bethany Reformed Church Parsonage in Clara City, MN. They lived and farmed in Havelock Township for 35 years before moving to Montevideo in 1980. He was a life-long member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Havelock and served in several leadership positions, served on the District 22 School Board, the Havelock Town Board and as President of the local AAL chapter. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He enjoyed family gatherings, neighbors, friends and especially farming.
He is survived by his wife - Fannie; children - Caroline Nordaune and her husband Douglas of Montevideo; Doris Goldenstein and her husband Roger of Benson, MN and Vernon Seeman and his wife Bonita of Montevideo; ten grandchildren - Amy ( Shawn) Nelson; Holly Nelson; Dawn Nordaune; Janell (Steven) Wollschlager; Renee (Tom) Salsbury; Marcus & Jodi Goldenstein; and Kelly(fiancé Scott Glaesman), Tamara (special friend - Ryan Onnen) and Anthony Seeman; 3 great grandchildren - Cassie & Ty Nelson and Jordan Wollschlager; a brother - Gilbert Seeman of Montevideo; 4 brothers-in-law - Vernon(Selma) Dirksen; Ben (Fern) Dirksen; George and Henry Dirksen as well as by numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Leona in infancy and 3 sisters-in-law - Eleanor Seeman, Grace Dirksen and Marjorie Dirksen.
