Harry Peters, of Montevideo, passed away in the early morning hours on Saturday, June 8, 2019, surrounded by his family, at the age of 83.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at Anderson-TeBeest Funeral Home in Montevideo. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Montevideo.
Visitation with the family will be held from 1:00 -2:00 PM on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at Anderson-TeBeest Funeral Home in Montevideo.
Harry Duane Peters was born on October 28, 1935 in Millbank, SD. The youngest of three to Theodore and Bernice (Dotson) Peters. He attended school in Millbank, SD and Montevideo, MN. He served in the United States Air Force. Harry first worked for GTA in Montevideo and then for Honeywell in Minneapolis, from which he retired. He was a devoted son and would return to Montevideo to care for his parents. He returned to Montevideo to reside upon retiring.
Some things he enjoyed included: racing, hunting, trapping and fishing. He was the pillar of strength for the family and his generosity was unparalleled. Family will remember him as a man of deep resolve, humility and virtue. He will be greatly missed by those who shared this life with him.
Harry is survived by his brother, Dale Peters, Minneapolis, MN; nephews: Brian Peters, Art (Deb) Pitt; nieces: JeAnn (Deno) Talarico, Valerie (Ron) Franklin, Shelly (Randy) Lintner, Deanna (Matt) White, Linda (Bob) Koller, Carol Gramley; numerous great nieces and nephews and other extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister: Margaret (Hit) Pitt; and sister-in-law: Charlotte Peters.
