Harry Tisch, of Big Stone, SD and formerly of Montevideo, MN, died January 24, 2005 at St. Frances West Hospital in Honolulu, HI at the age of 73.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 5, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at Calvary Baptist Church in Montevideo, MN.  Rev. Paul Losik will officiate and interment will be at Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Claire City, SD.  Visitation will be held at the church for one hour before the funeral.

Harry Allen Tisch was born December 28, 1931 at Hankinson, ND, the son of Ira and Dora (Bladow) Tisch.  He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith. He attended elementary schools in Hankinson, ND and rural Claire City, SD and graduated from Sisseton High School in 1948.  Harry was a graduate of Dunwoody Institute in Minneapolis.  He was united in marriage with Marjorie Akre of Veblen, SD on February 28, 1949.  Five children were born to them: Donn, Mark, Candace, Suzan, and Shannon.  Harry worked as a depot agent and they lived in many locations including: Peever, SD, Excelsior, MN, Selby, SD, and Montevideo, MN.  He retired from the Milwaukee Railroad after 30 years.  Harry also worked as a rancher, farmer and business man.  He built and remodeled several houses and also owned and operated a TV store and a laundry and dry cleaning business.  In 1997, he attended a Christian retreat called Walk to Emmaus, where he gave his life to the Lord.  After that his life changed and he became a dedicated follower of Jesus Christ.  Harry moved to Big Stone, SD last summer.

He is survived by two sons: Donn Tisch and his wife Margaret of New Ulm, MN and Mark Tisch and his wife Debbie of Maryville, TN; three daughters: Candace Tisch and her husband Tom Ruble of Sonoma, CA, Suzan Hooper and her husband Robert of Prescott, AZ, and Shannon Tisch of Maui, HI; six grandchildren: Jerry Bobby, Tara and Briana Tisch and Brandon and Nitara Hooper; the mother of his children, Marjorie Tisch; one sister, Norma Koeppe of Duluth, MN; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents and one brother, Roman.
