Heidi Jo Levitz, 44, of Echo, died Friday, January 15, 2016 at the Granite Falls Hospital.
Heidi was born April 4, 1971 in Montevideo, the daughter of Bernard “Barney” and Phyllis (Johnson) Levitz. She was baptized and confirmed at the Maynard Lutheran Church. She grew up and attended school in Maynard. She earned an Associate’s Degree in Medical Administration and worked at a REM home in Granite Falls.
Heidi loved spending time with her sons and family. She enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, camping, and taking drives to scenic areas. One of her favorite places was being together at the family cabin on Lake Florida. She also loved to cook and was the best cookie maker in the family.
She is survived by her sons: Dan (and Kerstin) Boike of Woodbury and Isaac Boike of Spicer; two sisters: Lorri (and Bill) Beasley of Maynard and Cindy Krueger of Maynard; sister-in-law Brenda Levitz of Alexandria; significant other, Paul DuVall of Echo; and nieces and nephews.
Her parents, sister, Vicki (Levitz) VanHeuveln, and brother, Lon Levitz, preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at the Maynard Lutheran Church, Wednesday, January 20that 11:00 a.m. with an hour visitation prior to the service.
There will be a visitation Tuesday, January 19th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Maynard Lutheran Church.
