Helen Dale died Thursday, March 10, 2005 at the Johnson Memorial Hospital in Dawson at the age of 95.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 13, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. at Lac Qui Parle Lutheran Church, rural Dawson. Rev. Ivan Wambheim will officiate and interment will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held for one hour before the services on Sunday.
Helen M. Dale was born July 16, 1909 in Cerro Gordo Township, Lac Qui Parle, County, MN the daughter of Martin and Anna (Stenson) Dale. She was baptized and confirmed at Lac Qui Parle Lutheran Church. Helen attended rural school in District #6 and later had 2 years of nurses training at Madison, MN. She worked as a nurse for a few years and also did private nursing for family and friends. Helen provided total care for both of her parents. She was very active at Lac Qui Parle Lutheran Church where she participated in Ladies Aid, Ladies Chorus, Choir, and a trio. She also taught Sunday School for many years.
She is survived by nieces and nephews: Charles Dale of Dawson, MN, Allen (Eileen) Dale of Dawson, MN, Marian Luznicky of Burnsville, MN, and Elsie (Duane) Thoms of Burnsville, MN; great- nieces and great-nephews; and other family and friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents; and her siblings and their spouses: George and Bessie Dale, Manfred and Ruth Dale, Clarence and Mildred Dale, Selina Dale, and Agnes and Obert Sorkness.
