Helen Alice (Hendrickson) Johnson

Helen Johnson, of Montevideo, died January 13, 1998 at the Clarkfield Care Center.

Funeral services were held Friday, January 16, 1998 at 1:30 P.M. at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church of Baxter, rural Montevideo.  Rev. Steve Rheingans  officiated and interment was in the church cemetery.

Helen Alice Johnson was born July 25, 1914 at Madison, MN the daughter of Sam and Sarah (Johnson) Hendrickson.  She was baptized in Madison and confirmed at Kviteseid Lutheran Church in Milan.  She was united in marriage with Joseph Johnson December 21, 1938 at Lac Qui Parle Lutheran Church.  They lived at rural Boyd, Granite Falls, and Montevideo.  Joseph died in 1973.  Helen worked with the Green Thumb Program.

She is survived by one daughter, Patricia Ann Johnson of Montevideo, MN; two brothers: Alton and Helen Hendrickson of Montevideo, MN and Roger and MaryAnn Hendrickson of South Haven, MN; and two sisters: Deloris and Bob Roggatz of Appleton, MN and Edith Hendrickson of Montevideo, MN.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Joseph; and three brothers: James, Sheldon, and Lloyd Hendrickson.
