Herb Duwayne Fosse

April 20, 1944 — March 1, 2000

Herb DuWayne Fosse was born on April 20, 1944, at the Dawson Hospital in Dawson to Charles B. and Thelma (Borgedalen) Fosse.  He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and in 1962, graduated from Dawson High School.  He entered the Army National Guard and was honorably discharged on  June 7, 1970.
Herb was united in marriage to Nancy Anderson on October 5, 1968, at the Grace Lutheran Church in Dawson.  A daughter, Nicole, was born to this union.
After high school, Herb was employed at the Sinclair Station, then as a mechanic at Anderson Pederson Trucks and Ricker Trucks, and for the last 14 years in maintenance with AMPI.
Herb enjoyed fishing, bow hunting, wildlife, feeding the birds, and spending time with his family.
Herb died on Wednesday, March 1, 2000, at the Johnson Memorial Hospital in Dawson at the age of 55 years, 10 months, and 11 days.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy, and daughter, Nicole of Dawson; niece, Kari Fosse; aunt, Alice Orine Nelson of Dawson; sister-in-law, Karen Stevens and husband, Ron, of Montevideo; nephews, several cousins, other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Thelma in 1991, and father, Charlie in 1999; and his brother, Allan in 1992.
