Herbert Tostenson, 66, of Montevideo, died January 22, 1993 at the Chippewa County - Montevideo Hospital in Montevideo.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 25 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church at 1:30 P.M. Rev. Warren Broughton will officiate and interment will be at Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Montevideo.
Visitation will be held Sunday afternoon and evening at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo and at the church for one hour before services on Monday.
Herbert LeVerne Tostenson was born April 23, 1926 in Minneapolis, MN the son of Thorvald and Laurie Marie (Larson) Tostenson. He moved to the Montevideo area as a youth and lived there for the rest of his life. Herbert worked as a heavy equipment operator for Dunnick Bros., Minnesota Valley, and Tostenson Landfill. He retired in 1988. He was united in marriage with Darlene Thompson Jackson on April 23, 1976 at Granite Falls, MN.
He is survived by his wife, Darlene; five step-children; two sisters: Bea Stange and her husband Charles of Glen Ellyn, IL and Audrey Knutson and her husband Ken of Ft. Collins, CO; two nephews; two nieces; and one grand-nephew.
Preceding him in death were his parents and one nephew Mark Stange.
