Hermoine Claggett died Wednesday, January 7, 2015 in Zephyrhills, FL at the age of 91. She will be dearly missed.
Memorial services will be held on Monday, June 1, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Montevideo. Rev. Donald S. McKee will officiate and interment will be at Sunset Memorial Cemetery.
Hermoine “Kit” B. Claggett was born November 7, 1923 in Montevideo, MN to Adolph and Maybelle Sundem. She was confirmed in the Lutheran faith. She attended Montevideo schools graduating in 1941. On June 17, 1941, she was united in marriage to Robert (Bob) A. Claggett (also from Montevideo) in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. She was a loving wife and mother. She was a home maker whose hobbies included sewing and cooking. She also assisted her husband Bob in several business including building homes in Claggett Addition in Montevideo and working on seaplane pontoons at Aqua Floats in Minnesota and then in Florida. She also enjoyed cooking for guests at Hill Lake Lodge in Canada and loved fishing with her family. She was an Eastern Star member for many years.
She is survived by three sons: Terry (Helen) Claggett of Alexandria, MN, Brad (Carol) Claggett of Battle Lake, MN, and Brian (Donna) Claggett of Zephyrhills, FL; a grandson, Cory Claggett of Gibsonton, FL; a sister, Phyllis Wik of Montevideo, MN; a brother, Allen (Nancy) Sundem of Gilbert, AZ; several nieces and nephews; and two step-grandsons.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Robert A. Claggett; a son, Jeffrey; a granddaughter, Naija Claggett; a brother, Darrell Sundem; and a sister, Marvel Moe.
