Idell Dalager, of Montevideo, died on Thursday August 5, 2004 at the Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park, MN at the age of 84.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, August 9, 2004 at 1:30 PM at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Montevideo with Rev. Donald McKee officiating. Interment will be in the Sunset Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday afternoon and evening and with the family from 5 - 7 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo.
Idell (Erickson) Dalager was born on July 28, 1920 in Hanley Falls, MN to Henry and Anna (Johnson) Erickson. She was baptized and confirmed at Hanley Falls Lutheran Church and graduated from Hanley Falls High School in 1938. On April 6, 1947 she was united in marriage to Elmer Dalager at the Hanley Falls Lutheran Church. They lived for a short time in Minneapolis and Marshall, MN before moving to Montevideo in 1949. Idell worked at the J. C. Penney Co. in Montevideo for a number of years before retiring in 1982. She was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church and it’s circles and women’s groups, and was a member of a birthday club and the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed camping, fishing, discussing politics and making trips to casinos.
She is survived by her husband, Elmer, daughters: Susan Halverson and her husband Jon of Minnetonka, MN and Karen Ryan and her husband John of Plymouth, MN; 3 grandchildren: Molly Auseth and her husband Sam; Adam Halverson and Robert Ryan; 2 great grandchildren: Olivia and Dylan Auseth; a sister, Adeline Koch and her husband Herman of Montevideo as well as by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Brothers - Kenneth and Irwin Erickson and by sisters Inga Farmen, Tena Graves and Judith Duella Erickson as an infant.
