Ina Violet (Reese) Pederson

Ina Pederson, formerly of Maynard, died on Friday April 26, 1996 at the Clara City Nursing Home at the age of 88.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday April 29, 1996 at 10:30 A.M.at the Maynard Presbyterian Church with Rev. Joseph Prakism officiating.  Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Cemetery  in Montevideo.

Visitation will be Sunday afternoon and evening and with the family from 7 - 8 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo.

Ina Violet (Reese) Pederson was born on January 1, 1908 in Tuscala, IL to Joseph and Eliza (Marrs) Reese.  At the age of one she moved with her family to Wolford, ND and at age seven to Rolette, ND.  She graduated from High School there in 1925.  She attended Valley State Teachers College in Valley City, ND for a year and took nurses training at Sisters of Mercy Hospital in Devils Lake, ND.  She was united in marriage to Richard Pederson on June 4, 1932 in Minneapolis, MN. Following her marriage they moved to the Maynard, MN area, where she lived until entering the Clara City Nursing Home in 1994.  She was a member of the Maynard Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by two sons: Earl and his wife Pat of Renville, MN and Paul and his wife Maxine of Grand Rapids, MN; two daughters: Beryl Porter of Mankato, MN and Carol Billiar of North Mankato, MN; one daughter-in-law, Ruth Pederson of Maynard, MN; three step-children: Ruth Aalfs of Clara City, MN Harold Pederson and his wife Donna Mae of Hamel, MN, and Donald Pederson and his wife Sue of Aitkin, MN; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Mac Reese of Rolla, ND; as well as by nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Richard in 1971; two sons: Glen and Duane; one stepson, Richard Pederson and his wife Betsy; several grandchildren; three sisters; and one brother.
