Inez Henrietta (Larson) Johnson

Inez Johnson, of Montevideo, died on Wednesday, October 14, 1998 at the Luther Haven Nursing Home at the age of 93.

Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, October 17, 1998 at 1:00 PM at Anderson Funeral Home Chapel in Montevideo with Rev. Lois Knutson officiating.  Burial was in the Sunset Memorial Cemetery.

Inez Henrietta (Larson) Johnson was born on January 27, 1905 in Chippewa Co., Minnesota to Nils and Hilma ( Nelson) Larson.  She was baptized and confirmed at Saron Lutheran Church and attended rural schools.  On November 22, 1924 she was united in marriage to Roy Johnson.  They lived most of her life on a farm in Leenthrop Township.  She moved to Montevideo in 1970 and currently was a resident of the Luther Haven Nursing Home.  She was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church.  She loved to garden, raise chickens, sew and crochet.  Cooking and baking were a specialty of hers.

She is survived by a daughter - Betty Siverhus and her husband Vincent of Maynard; 8 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 4 great, great grandchildren; 10 half brothers and sisters and a daughter-in-law - Ruth Johnson of DeGraff, MN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Roy; by a daughter - Rosemary Johnson; a son - LeRoy Johnson; a grandson - Paul Siverhus; a great grandson - Jeffrey Haff and 2 brothers - Rueben and Harry Larson.
