Ingeborg Theoline (Raffelson) Olson

Ingeborg T. Olson died on Sunday, June 29, 1997 at her residence in Benson at the age of 82.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, July 2, 1997 at 1:30 PM at Jevnaker Lutheran Church of rural Montevideo with Rev. Gregory Gabriel officiating.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be Tuesday afternoon and evening, with the family from 6:30 - 8:00 PM  and with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo.

Ingeborg Theoline (Raffelson) Olson was born on March 13, 1915 in Chippewa County, MN to Anton and Julia (Laumb) Raffelson.  She was raised in Chippewa County, MN where she attended rural school.  On August 1, 1933 she was united in marriage to Alvin C. Olson.  They farmed in Chippewa County until 1949 when they moved to a farm in Swift County.  She lived there until shortly after her husband's death in 1993 when she moved to the Windom Apartments in Montevideo.  In January of 1997 she moved to Scofield Place in Benson.  She was a member of Jevnaker Lutheran Church, where she was active in Ladies Aid.  She was also active in Home Makers, was a 4H leader, served District 91 School Board as Treasurer, and enjoyed her flower gardens.

She is survived by six sons: DeLos (Karen) Olson of Rochester, MN, Duane Olson of Pequot Lakes, MN, Donald (Tricia) Olson of Rochester, MN,  David (Judy) Olson of Shakopee, MN, Kenneth (Bonnie) Olson of Minnetonka, MN, and Byron (Vicki) Olson of Benson, MN; one daughter, Solveig (Gordon) Van Overbeke of Lucan, MN; fourteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers: Elmer Raffelson of Watson, MN and Orris Raffelson of Tuscon, AZ; and one sister, LuElla Nokleby of Clara City, MN.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Alvin in 1993; an infant daughter, Carol; six brothers: Ole, John, Emil, Arthur, Ingvald, and Alfred Raffelson; and two sisters: Esther Paulson and Ingebaar Raffelson.
