Ingman Olson, of Montevideo, died on Sunday, April 4, 2010 at Valin Senior Care in Montevideo at the age of 90. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 8, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Montevideo. Rev. Marie Eckberg will officiate and interment will be at Terrace Lawn Memory Gardens, rural Montevideo. Visitation will be held on Wednesday at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo with the family present from 5-7:00 P.M. Ingman Godfrey Olson was born September 4, 1919 at Zeona, SD the son of Eric and Guri (Samdahl) Olson. He was baptized October 12, 1919 in Zeona, confirmed October 22, 1933 at Watson Lutheran Church, and he attended rural schools. He served in the US Army for 3 years. Ingman was united in marriage with Margaret Olson May 12, 1946 in Montevideo. They made their home in Montevideo. He worked as a carpenter and foreman for Pederson Bros., Inc for 30 years and as a construction superintendent for Glenwood Bridge, Inc. for 16 years. He retired in 1988. He enjoyed doing craft work, gardening, and working around the house. Ingman was a lifetime member of the VFW and a member of the Christian Labor Union. He is survived by six children: Susan (and Reed) Quenemoen of Willmar, MN, Donald (and Magdalena) Olson of Vadnais Heights, MN, Vicki (and Calvin) Grussing of Carver, MN, Nancy (and Keith) Wohlleber of Apple Valley, MN, JoAnn Thune (and special friend Darrell Molden) of Montevideo, MN, and Kathy (and Richard) Hanson of Raeford, NC; eight grandchildren: Shane (and Charlye) Quenemoen, Clint Quenemoen, Emily Olson, Dereck (and Breanna) Olson, Tia Olson and Scott, Amanda Grussing, Rick W. Hanson, and Ashley Hanson; five great-grandchildren: Hannah, Elijah, Zoie, David, and Braeden; several nieces and nephews and very special friends, Don Thune, Curt Olson and Stan Anderson. Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Margaret in 1996; two sons: Richard and David; and two brothers: Orvald and Selmer Olson.
