Irene Bremseth

Irene Bremseth passed away Thursday, August 29, 2019 at the Johnson Memorial Care Center in Dawson at the age of 97.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, September 7, 2019 at 10:30 AM at Grace Lutheran Church in Dawson.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.

Irene Doris (Halling) Hullstrom Bremseth was born November 21, 1921 at Appleton, MN the daughter of Art and Ida (Harstad) Halling.  She grew up in Appleton and graduated in 1938.  She was united in marriage with Earl Hullstrom on March 23, 1941.  He began serving in the military shortly after their marriage.  After his discharge, they made their home in Dawson.  She worked as a sales clerk at a dress shop in Appleton.  Earl died in 1994.  She later married Loren Bremesth on February 16, 1995.  He was killed in a car accident a short while after their marriage.

She is survived by two children: Dennis (Genevieve) Hullstrom of Dawson and Linda (Buddy) Itzen of Fort Dodge, IA; 6 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and extended family and friends.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husbands: Earl Hullstrom and Loren Bremseth; a daughter, Diane Donahue; and two sisters: Dorothy Reed and Avis (Struck) Longman.
