James Hofseth

James Hofseth died June 5, 2024 at his home in Dawson at the age of 68.

Memorial services will be held on Sunday, June 30, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Hanson & Dahl Funeral Home in Dawson.  Visitation will be held for 1 hour before the service.

James Leslie Hofseth was born October 5, 1955.  His parents were Conrad and Theola (Mattson) Hofseth.  He graduated from Lyle High School in 1975 and moved to Dawson in the mid 1980's.  He started driving truck shortly after high school and continued as the owner/operator of his own vehicle.  He enjoyed being an over the road truck driver and logged in more than 1 million miles.  He made a habit of connecting with family and friends while on his trucking trips.  Jim enjoyed wood working, and prairie dog hunting with his cousin.

He is survived by his brother, Curtis; brother-in-law, Daryl Brouwer; nieces and nephews: Josh Hofseth, Hannah Zenke, Jessica Brouwer, Jamie (Jason) Olson, and DJ Brouwer; and great nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents and a sister, Shari Brouwer.
