Jane Lynette Folkestad was born on April 30, 1957 in Montevideo, MN to Stanley and Doris (Ostlie) Folkestad. She was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Montevideo and attended Montevideo High School. She lived at the Clara Doerr Residence in Minneapolis for over twenty years and worked at Opportunity Workshop. She lived at the Young House in St Cloud, MN for a number of years and at Lake Country in Rice, MN for the past ten years and worked at WACOSA. She enjoyed playing cards and board games, baking, camping, enjoying the outdoors and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her father, Stanley of Montevideo; a brother, Duane (and Colleen) Folkestad of Montevideo; four sisters: Sharon (and Bob) Black of Minnetonka, MN, LuAnn (and Mike) Gesell of Alexandria, MN, Gwen (and Mike) Grunke of Crystal, MN and Sue (and Gary) Heikes of Montevideo; fourteen nieces and nephews and nine great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Doris Folkestad in 2010.
