Janet Cushman, of Montevideo, died on Thursday, May 30, 2013 at the Luther Haven Nursing Home at the age of 80. Memorial services will be conducted on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at 1:30 P.M. at the Anderson-TeBeest Funeral Chapel in Montevideo with Rev. Eunice Woodberry officiating.
Yvonne Janet Mae (Haugerud) Cushman was born on March 9, 1933 in Appleton, MN to James and Mabel (Anderson) Haugerud. She grew up and attended school in Montevideo. She was united in marriage to Leland Cushman. In addition to attending Cosmetology School in Willmar, she worked at J.C. Penney, S & L, Thompson Drug and Portraits by Steve in Montevideo. She was a long-time and active member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church and enjoyed reading, working on crafts and going to the lake.
Janet is survived by her two sons, Michael of Montevideo and Steven of Park Rapids, MN, as well as by numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Chet and Glen Haugerud and two sisters, Glennis Dunn and ValJean Wallace.
